Impact Statement: Through high adrenaline activities, WAQ mitigates the negative impact of high risk behaviors; common among Soldiers who are deploying and Soldiers who have recently returned from deployments. Through resilience training WAQ also enhances unit readiness by building unit cohesion.

WAQ Activities

  • Skiing/Snowboarding/Mountain Biking: Massanutten Ski Lodge— Massanutten, VA (All day activity)

  • Zip lining / High Ropes Course: Go Ape— Williamsburg VA (4 Hours)

  • Paintball/Airsoft: Swamp Paint Ball Park—Haynes, VA (4 Hours)

  • White Water Rafting: Riverside Outfitters—Richmond, VA (All day activity)

  • Scuba Diving: TBD


WHO QUALIFIES?

Warrior Adventure Quest is a free resiliency training for Army units.  All units are now eligible for participation. Non-deploying units can attend once every two years while units who are 120 days prior to deployment or 120 days after deployment can attend during that time frame.
