Registration Is Open!

Earn points for your squadron and a chance at winning the Commander’s Cup by competing in multiple events. The event will kick off with a 1.5-mile run before the tournaments begin. Multiple teams per squadron per event are permitted. Each squadron member may participate in a one-day event only.

Squadron Fitness Challenge

Each 5-man team (3 males / 2 females) will compete in 5 events designed to test the team’s overall strength, endurance, grit, and hustle. The events include: Team Canoe Push/Pull, Team Tire Flip, Sled Push/Pull, Humvee Push, and a Fitness Obstacle Course.

Volleyball

Co-ed teams of 6–12 players will compete in 6-on-6 outdoor volleyball. The number of teams registered will determine the tournament format. Current FIVB/USAV Outdoor Volleyball Rules apply.

Softball

It’s softball, y’all—you know how this goes. Co-ed teams of 10–12 players; 10 players on the field at a time. Umpires and balls will be provided; all other necessary equipment must be provided by each squadron or team. The number of teams registered will determine the tournament format. All games will follow Amateur Softball Association rules (https://www.asasoftball.com).

2-Person Golf Tournament

2-Person Captain’s Choice format. Both partners hit each shot, and the best shot is selected. From there, both hit from that spot again. The lowest overall score wins.

Kickball

Bringing it back to the schoolyard! Teams of 9–15 will face off in a friendly, winner-takes-all tournament.

Bowling

2-person teams will compete for total points and highest score after 10 frames.

Cornhole

Played using the official rules of the American Cornhole Association (ACA). The number of registered teams will determine the tournament format. Each team will consist of two players.

200M Swim Relay

A team of 4 swimmers will each swim one lap (down and back) of the pool. Swimmers may choose any stroke they are comfortable with. Timing starts with the first swimmer and ends when the last swimmer touches the wall at the end of the relay. Lifeguards will be on duty.

1.5 Mile Run

Earn points for your squadron! This is the only individual event in the Crossbow Games.

Gamer Central

This event will be held on the Gamer Bus. Each team consists of 4 players, but players sign up in teams of 2. A maximum of 15 teams (30 players) may participate.
All teams will race in one qualifier, with 4 maps each. Players score points based on their finish per map, and totals will be combined for a team score.
The top 12 scoring teams advance to semi-finals (6 maps). Top 3 teams from each semi-final advance to the finals.
Note: There is no last-chance qualifier.

NEW:Boat Regatta

Hand-crafted boat made only from cardboard, duct tape, & glue (materials are self-procured). Teams must craft their boat before reporting to CBGs. Members must make it as far across the pool as possible before the boat sinks. Time and distance will determine winners.

NEW: Fishing

Members will bring their fishing gear and equipment will be available to rent. Bait will be provided while supplies last. The winner will be determined by the weight of fish. Tie breakers will be determined by the length of the fish

Commander's Challenge

Commanders and SELs must make it to the finish line while following the signals from Fitness Staff. If players move after “red light” is called, a member of the staff will attempt to hit the player with a water balloon and if the player is hit, they are out of the game.

Point System

  • Teams are scored by unit population: Large Unit Winner and Small Unit Winner
  • Large Squadron: 200 or more Personnel
  • Small Squadron: 199 or less Personnel
  • All teams will receive participation points. If squadrons have multiple teams in one event, highest finishing team will receive those points, and all other teams will receive 5 participation points.
  • Members must sign up under a Squadron to receive points, and Group/Wing staffs will be encouraged to sign up under a Squadron.
